Musti Group launches a digital veterinary service

Musti Group launches a new digital veterinary service available for all pet owners. Through the service, pet owners can easily contact a veterinarian directly from their home. The service will be launched in Finland at the beginning of February, and it is planned to expand to Sweden and Norway later.

The digital veterinary service supports this mission excellently, as it helps us to provide comprehensive and effortless service to our customers”, says David Rönnberg, CEO of Musti Group. “Covid-19 has lowered the threshold for people to use digital services. We believe this will also reflect in pet veterinary services.”

The digital veterinary service is part of Musti Group’s expanding and growing health and welfare services. In its Musti ja Mirri retail locations, Musti Group offers e.g. grooming, nail clipping, physical therapy, massage and animal training.

The digital veterinary service veterinarians estimate that about 60 to 80 percent of pets’ minor ailments can be treated remotely. A remote veterinarian can be contacted when a pet suffers from, for example, indigestion such as diarrhea or vomiting, skin or urinary symptoms, or when it has eaten something inappropriate. Especially puppy owners often have questions concerning, for example, tooth changes and nutrition. If necessary, veterinarians will direct the client to seek a face-to-face veterinarian appointment.

The service will initially open in Finland on Musti ja Mirri’s website. The service is chat-based and, if necessary, it also allows sending pictures and videos to the vet.
